Stowe House – Buckinghamshire Wedding Venue

The 18th Century splendour of our magnificent historic house offers the perfect backdrop to your special day.

The house was built for lavish entertaining – large parties and celebrations took place here during the period of Jane Austen.

Where to start……

The Marble Saloon is a spectacular elliptical hall, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome whilst the Music Room, which was exquisitely decorated by Vincenzo Valdrè, is truly one of the jewels of Stowe’s interiors. The room is lavishly decorated in 23 ½ carat gold leaf, with hand-painted walls. The State Dining Room is a splendid rectangular room with an elaborately decorated ceiling designed by Francesco Sleter. The three octagonal paintings, from the 1820s, all feature Venus. The magnificent windows look over breathtaking views of the South Front, Corinthian Arch and Octagon Lake and fill the room with natural light whatever time of the year.

Lastly, The majestic Temple Room is the perfect setting for your evening reception. Surrounded by its monumental portraits of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos, which provide the perfect backdrop for your important day.
