Flower Crowns

We are feeling the love for our flower crowns after this message from our lovely April bride Alison: ‘The flowers really make it and I’m SO glad we went for flower crowns, everyone bloody loved them :)’. That brings huge smiles to our faces on this gloomy day. Would you believe a March wedding with better weather than the one we are preparing for today in  June?

Alison and James got married at Emberton church in Buckinghamshire followed by a marquee reception. She tells us ‘James and I actually know each other from our school days in Bedford. We always kept in touch from about the age of 13 / 14 and then decided to give it a go when James stopped touring, and I (kind of) stopped being a lunatic in London. “Persistence beats resistance” was the catch phrase from the best mans speech… I might have been a bit stubborn and made him wait a while’! The look on his face in these pictures tells us she has been worth the wait.

Alison sent us these fabulous documentary images from Kevin Mullins Photography. She described their wedding day as ‘filled with so much laughter and booze’. ‘Being allowed to have drinks and canapes in the church was lovely and really got everyone chatting. James and I also went to the pub on our own for a pint straight after we’d got married’. They obviously had an amazing time with their family and friends. We are especially tickled by the guys and girls with their drinks as well as bouquets in the group photos.  And take a close look at the shot of the table plan, what a fantastic capture!

As always our wedding flower collection was designed with british seasonal blooms. We enjoyed a lovely early spring and so there was plenty of choice and colour to compliment Alison & James’ bright theme. It was fabulous to provide flower crowns for both Alison and her adult bridesmaids. We are often asked for them for young flower girls but don’t they just look fabulous on these girls too. We adore the chevron effect and multi colour of the bridesmaids dresses, so very different. And look at the detail on Alison’s gorgeous dress from Grace Loves Lace. As well as looking amazing she tells us it was ‘the most comfortable thing ever’.

We wish Alison & James a lifetime of happiness.  We love your style – fur coats and flower crowns is our new favourite wedding fashion!

If you are getting married  get in touch to arrange an appointment with the team at our flower studio in Lathbury. Let’s chat what flowers you would like to carry in a bouquet as you walk up the aisle. xx
