Here we are again,  Field Gate Flowers at Dodford Manor.  It is a wedding venue we love.  It is a wedding venue our flowers love! This latest spell of beautiful weather reminds us what a fabulous wedding season it has been.  This was the first wedding this year for Field Gate Flowers at Dodford Manor and what a special day it was.  Hannah & Phil held their marriage ceremony in Dodford Manor’s Mortain Barn before a blessing at Dodford Church, a short walk away. We think that’s a lovely way to make becoming Mr & Mrs official. And Dodford Manor, as always ,was the perfect place for them to return to with their wedding party to celebrate. What a great opportunity for us to use spring flowers in abundance and create a wonderful sense of ‘bringing the outdoors in’ with venue décor.  Do you like it?

We always enjoy hearing from our wedding couples and what made their day so special. Here is what Hannah told us when we asked what she especially loved.

‘ It’s so hard to choose a specific moment. So much of our wedding memories (particularly mine!) is a feeling. Just a warm, incredible feeling of pure happiness and joy comes over me when I think about it, and that’s how we felt on the day. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. It’s true what they say; just having that one day with all our friends and family, our loved ones, who came together for us, only us, to celebrate our love, just means the world and there’s nothing quite like it and I’m sure there won’t ever be again! We loved having the mix of the barns and the church too which worked perfectly in the end, but for me, actually coming out from behind the curtain to Andrea Bocelli and walking down the aisle and seeing Phil for the first time – it was a moment that had gone round in my head since Phil proposed and it was just the most magical feeling I’ll never forget. I’m actually getting emotional just thinking about it again!

And what she said about working with us. Now that’s why we love what we do. Thank-you Hannah & Phil.

‘Considering how little we gave you to go on (brandless, “bring the outside in”, green and whites) you seemed to know our vision better than we did! Everything from the blossom arch in the churns to the flower hoop on the wall, the bouquets and button holes and table flowers and pew ends; you completely transformed the venue into a white and green wonderland. It was perfection! The flowers were so beautiful and it was so lovely to see it all come together. We had wonderful compliments from our guests, but what I’d forgotten about, was it’s just as much a surprise for us to see and we were utterly stunned. Thank you, so much – you were a true artist and professional from start to finish’!
Special thanks from us to Ed Brown Photography for capturing so many beautiful photos of our flowers xx
